Art and intelligence.

CALBI is a Swiss production house operating at the intersection of art and intelligence.

Most production companies buy software. CALBI built its own.

In a single working session, the studio's entire administrative and creative operations layer was built as one connected system: not a set of templates, a generator. One shared identity and legal-entity record feeds every client-facing document, from proposals and budgets to deal memos, crew agreements, releases, call sheets, and delivery specs. Change the entity once, as happened mid-build when the Swiss company registered and the brand moved from its working name to CALBI, and 18 documents regenerate automatically with the new name, legal entity, and VAT applied consistently across everything. Nothing hand-edited, nothing out of sync.

Above that sits a pricing and production pipeline: one master rate reference every quote builds from, a guardrail that catches an underpriced quote before it goes out, and a workflow that carries a job from freeform brief through firm quote and won deal into a fully scaffolded production folder, synced live to the studio's project-management system. Finances, crew network, and client pipeline in one connected record, not three disconnected spreadsheets.

The same approach was turned outward: a competitive-intelligence system built once, then run across nine real competitors, scraping each studio's visual identity and researching its positioning and business model to return a designed, sourced, dated dossier. Not summaries. Findings: a competitor's flagship AI production credited only as "additional artists" on its one real film; another's most advanced generative work never published on its own site; a Swiss studio's growth model that structurally precludes ever owning what CALBI owns outright.

That's the point, and why it belongs in this portfolio rather than the admin folder: it's the same claim CALBI makes to clients, proven on itself first. The studio didn't rent a platform that plateaus. It built and owns the system, the way it owns the archive, the footage, the craft. Generative intelligence extending authored work rather than standing in for it, exactly as the studio's positioning says it should.
