Meet the Pavers
Paved
Red Bull doesn't just sponsor the world’s top athletes, but it builds platforms for them to tell their own stories. When Zeb Powell and the rest of the Red Bull team wanted to make a film about their influence on snowboarding, Red Bull and Burton came together to produce Paved.
I spent a month embedded in the backcountry of Japan with Zeb, Maria Thomsen, Ylfa Rúnarsdóttir, and Takeru Otsuka. The film premiered with a global tour of 75+ cities — including New York, Tokyo, Milan, Beijing, Innsbruck, and Zürich — and was named Film of the Year at the iF3 Film Festival in 2025.
