Liminal

The North Face has spent over fifty years equipping athletes and explorers at the edge of what's possible. When professional athlete Jake Blauvelt set out to make Liminal — a film about the space between seasons, between disciplines, between what snowboarding was and what it's becoming — they needed a director who could live inside that world.

I directed and shot the film from Mt. Baker, Washington to Bolton Valley, Vermont, working closely with Jake and the crew over 3 months. Liminal premiered on The North Face's channels and premiered in Seattle, Bellingham, Stowe, and Japan in 2024.
